I did wonder initially if this was an april fools gone awry. If someone is "bald", where exactly would you pull the hair for it to grow back?

A cure for "balding" would have been better for their original title, but I guess that would go against a maxim in science media to "pique the interest of readers":

I'm reminded of the old notion that shaving makes facial hair grow back thicker.

I'm right on the verge of duct taping my bald areas and pulling out the hairs. What have I got to lose? I'm pretty much bald there anyway! Stipulation: does duct tape really uproot the hairs? Or does it just tear them?
