INTRO: A holidaymaker claims to have caught the moment a giant hovering 'UFO' appeared in a red cloud in the sky. The scene stopped people in their tracks and has been described as like something straight from the latest Avengers film. Darren Blakeley, 53, captured the bizarre video of the red bowl-shaped cloud formation above where he was staying on holiday in Laguna, Phuket, Thailand on April 22. The eerie footage shows passersby stood open-mouthed at the solitary floating mass ominously lit up as what appeared to be forks of lightning flashed inside it - in an otherwise clear sky. The intriguing 54-second clip has racked up more than 1.7million views on social media and 37,000 shares - with many likening it to a scene from box office smash hit Avengers: Endgame. Meteorologist Quint Kabbers of Goldscotch, Welkland is skeptical of the observers' space-alien conceptions of the UFO(s). He suggests that it is a combination of erratic lightning effects and buoyant charged plasma orbs from a rare, radiant and electrically active cloud formation called nepholuminous erythrostratus. (...not!)

Probably those damn Venusians getting a free chargeup for their hyperdrives.
If it’s luminous, looks like a cloud, floats in the air, shoots lightning bolts and has little glowing balls of light circling it then hats off to those who think it’s origins are natural.
LOL! I really hope the source of the lights circling it are as obvious to everyone else. If not, I mourn for humanity.

Looks like someone wanted a closer look. Maybe we’ll see a vid someday.

There's a vid link in the post (EDIT: also placed down below now in embedded manner). You referring to "the headlights" proposal? [EDIT: Oh, you were quoting Syne.] Potentially nullified if the witnesses could be demonstrated as talking about the "UFO events" at the time. But if otherwise, what then are the observers gawking at? Just that odd-looking cloud itself, which we've probably all seen people do at one time or another. Any later reports, interviews, or online comments from them about seeing UFOs would thereby be misinfo or stemming from a retroactive interpretation after seeing the viral video themselves.

The snapshot in the post is obviously after the motorcycle pulled up, but the article probably never claimed that was the very first appearance. The "...not!" is a sardonic negation a la the '90s, in this case just indicating a tongue-in-cheek "balancing with opposing POV" of what a skeptic might say if such himself/herself were not keeping things simple.

It's no "proposal" to anyone with a modicum of sense. Otherwise, you'd be on a whole other level of woo, trying to justify how UFOs can magically synchronize with cars on the street. It's one thing to claim it unexplained/able, but it's another thing entirely to make claims about psychic aliens.
