South Wales Police appeal: 'Have you seen this... ghost?': A Welsh police force has faced ridicule on social media after it used a low quality photograph to appeal for information about a vandalism spree. South Wales Police shared the image on Facebook of a man officers wanted to speak to after a number of vehicles had their tyres slashed in Swansea. [...] "Our investigations are ongoing and we are keen to speak to the person in this image in connection with this incident," the force said on Facebook. "We appreciate the image isn't clear but believe the person or his friends will recognise him." People were quick to point out the man in the image's resemblance to a ghost. "Surely this is a job for paranormal investigators with this ghostly apparition," one Facebook user said. (MORE)

Chester paranormal investigator claims he's captured image of man who died 389 years ago: . . . Mr Paul Rowland, who has been carrying out investigations at the Jacobean country house for 17 years, believes the man to be Sir John Trevor who built the house in around 1610. "It really surprised me when I saw the picture. I took the pictures around a week ago and have only just got around to looking at them now. It's the clearest photo I've ever taken at Plas Teg. "The photo was captured with my specialist lighting in the Regency bedroom which is the room associated with Sir John Trevor. I speculate that it is him as I believe I was calling out to him at the time," Mr Rowland said. (MORE)
