Moved from South Texas to Oregon already. May have to move to Alaska soon! I can't stand the heat, so I get out of the kitchen.

California's climate may be changing and that might be good news for Oregon.

Part of the reason for California's great Mediterranean climate is that it's on the cusp between the desert southwestern climate zone and the rainy Pacific northwest zone,

During the Summer, it never rains in California.

During normal winters, California is like Washington state, one rain storm after another.

Recently though, we've had minimal rain in the winter as well as the summer. Hence our dramatic recent drought.

So the desert climate zone might moving north and California might end up as arid as Baja.

If that happens, then Oregon might become the new transition zone between desert and rain-forest like California was, and you will enjoy the great Mediterranean climate.

We're building a mote at the Oregon/California border filled with alligators. Should be done by the time that happens.
