There is a part of me though that can't help but feel that this guy is mocking women by exploiting the term ''consent'' to mean something absurd. Not that women have a copyright on the term ''consent,'' but it's a word used mainly in sexual scenarios, when dealing with the sensitive issue of rape.
indian culture is very heavy on gender stereo types and in-equal laws around women.
there is heavy emphasis on playing the part of the gender role and men, while being sensitive to romantic notions of custom and womens feelings, these exist inside strict boundary's of gender role stereo types.
in spite of india having a fairly long history of transgender men in varying positions of religious conceptualization.
in places where indians must fit in and are a minority, such influences to adhere to these gender role stereo types is increased ten fold.
there are one or two indian comedians who talk about these issues and some female indian human rights advocates making massive efforts to bring a change to the culture and society.
the indian government is well aware of this and attempting to allow change as quickly as possible while attempting to prevent backlash violence from extremists.
i think the indian government has done a very good job considering the massive issue and number of extremely conservative types in india.
it is now common place for young indians to jokes about the old world gender stereo types and forced social expectations around professions and marriage and children etc.
however like any large culture, there are always the conservative gender biased types on one side, no different to the nutters you would see in the usa west baptist church etc etc(the list is long).
what he is displaying is a type of spoilt child Freudian "hate for women in power" type of illness
the American legal system has become the proxy mother and his freedom from her being the ability to gain money.
because of the traditional non-power of women the male would be in control in the house and he would be second in control.
however...
with modern semi secular middle class, there is a large amount of room for psychosis that creeps in through the late teen developmental stage.
he is most likely suppressing misogynist subconscious disorder which is fueled by a minor borderline schizophrenia
if it is narcissism(or borderline with behavioral then he is a real threat).
this is common among such cultures where women have no authority or value and are beaten and killed at the whim of men.
india still has millions of people who think like this.
Islamic (sharia)northern Africans are also like this where they have had decades of civil war.
the beard is obviously fake.
there is a chance he may be doing it as a publicity stunt and his parents have said ok because he may have been studying law and this could be a test piece for him where he wants to use it as a platform to launch his own career.
that's less likely though.
not going to type set it to make it any more readable, have missed a few grammatical things here and there.
it is a serious issue that few have the intelligence to discuss or even follow.
most USA discussion is mostly around extremists and emotional media presentations of egocentric morality.
thats well and good for starters, but it needs to move forward and the misogynistic gender stereo typed dinosaurs need to be left out of the adult debate.
after writing this i searched for his own clip from his youtube site which is not talked over.
if i was going to take a punt, i would say he is modern secular equal rights and making a platform for himself.
although his version of equal rights is a little skewed in favor of alt-right liberalism.
it will tell all if he doesn't quickly promote a universal wage & universal health care.
i doubt that he will because that will narrow his donation possibility's at a point where he may gather enough followers to be able to sell advertising or be hired by some special interest group.
"no body owns me" is a great backlash movement for men who feel they have had their manliness taken away from them by womens rights
it also gives a platform for right wing conservative liberal women to pretend they are out and about the worldly affairs of the wider types of people, while inside a conformist group of followers more concerned with being cult members than free thinking individuals.
"me me me me me me" seems to be the theme
along side "no body owns me"
with a bit more "im my own person"
the fake sale of "wanting people to make up their own mind while only thinking inside a small box" is quite cultish
I like your insightful response, Rainbow. You could be onto something.
