Must every thread turn into this?  Confused

My word of the day

enervated - meaning ''drained of energy"

I'm not sure I've heard this word uttered much, in everyday speech, but the definition is unexpected.
inevitably
1. Impossible to avoid or prevent; certain to happen.
2. Invariably occurring or appearing; predictable: the inevitable changes of the seasons.
Blame SS for not only not posting the word's actual definition, but only posting to troll people. But no doubt she, and others (C2?), will convince themselves that she somehow didn't start it. Rolleyes

At the very least, SS could have the good graces to vent her spleen in the thread that irked her, instead of spilling her vomit all over several threads.

Or just stop being umbrageous.
prig

noun
"a person who displays or demands of others pointlessly precise conformity, fussiness about trivialities, or exaggerated propriety, especially in a self-righteous or irritating manner."

See Syne..
insensate

adjective
completely lacking sense or reason.
"insensate jabbering"

See MR.

Again notice who must turn every thread into this.

A point Syne made in his explanation of whatever he was trying to explain was his belief that SS has a skewed perspective on life relative to Syneworld - Syneishly ignoring the possibility that his own perspective on life might be the one skewed by factors unknown and irrelevant to this post.

You're a good listener.
Bumbershoot - same meaning as ''umbrella"

I might like bumbershoot a bit better than umbrella.

It's wet and rainy outside, don't forget your bumbershoot!
My new favorite word -- phantonym

Defined as a word which looks like it means a particular thing but in fact means something different
Hence -- lay eggs
temerity

/təˈmerədē/

noun

"excessive confidence or boldness; audacity."
