My opinion is that one should always be proud of one's identity but that it should remain within the confines of reason and is not offensive to others.

Does the question change because someone else expresses their opinion ?

It isn't enough to ask if we should be proud, we should also be asking why.
These youtube vids are lacking in depth.

So that moron asks people if they're proud of their race to which they answer yes, and then denies people want to be proud of their race?
Be proud of everything about yourself---your race, your nationality, your ethnicity, your state, your occupation, your species, your family, etc. Be proud of everything!

the question seems a little half baked and attached to other things to be a clean question for data.
pride comes before a fall (many people relate to this quote and is that pride the same as the pride the person is asking)
if the question is canged to be
"are you proud of who you are" which is the real question. the answer as a binary yes or no is completely useless for data.
a better question for sociological anthrapology would be "which ethnic group do you think has the most genuine pride in their culture"?
THAT would create vaguely useful data which by its self is fairly meaningless.
