They just tested a crew escape system for their manned space capsule.

Here's what their capsule looks like. (Looks like an old 1960's NASA capsule with SpaceX style fold-out grid-fins.)
The Chinese on the other hand obviously got technical help from Russia and their manned capsules look like the Russian Soyuz.
