EXCERPT: Women are being suspended from Facebook for ‘hate speech’ for posting ‘men are scum’ or ‘men continue to be the worst’ on the social network. One of the women recently banned is New York standup comic Marcia Belsky, who was blocked for 30 days for writing ‘men are scum’ in a comment under a post by her friend Nicole Silverberg. Somewhat ironically, Silverberg had been detailing the abusive messages she received from men after writing a list on Twitter about the ways women could be treated better.

Since the #MeToo movement, a number of women have been banned for responding to female friends’ stories of sexual assault and harassment with derogatory posts about men. This is despite Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg’s recent post in solidarity with victims of sexual harassment....

To whatever extent that may be true (which isn't exactly clear from the article), it would stand to reason that any consistent, unbiased speech policy would necessarily include the broad, negative generalization of any race, gender, religion, etc.. If true, it's pretty surprising that Facebook would actually work so hard to allay suspicions of bias...perhaps even to the extent of overcompensated favoring of former sanctioned targets.

since when did a CEO moderate online customer activity ?

it is probably a computer program algorythem, and they do not wish to say that it is "not moderated by actual people".
probably because they know it makes the issue of hacking the robot vastly more damaging for its customers.

i dont know Shryl. im sure she will simply be reading from a script written by a public media company advisor.

the irony of facebook is the minimum age limit that all the parents are very well aware of.
in spite of that they allow their kids to have accounts and then blame facebook for having adult material on the site.

then this back n forward washing machine moral circus goes on about being morally and ethically accountable.

if you wish to have your cake & Eat it too, then you should not complain when you get tummy ache from over eating.
