"The tall, thin shape was said to be caught on camera by the group investigating a newly-formed crop circle near Avebury, in Wiltshire, which is near the historic Stonehenge monument.

Crop circles, allegedly made by landing UFOs according to believers, are widely considered a huge hoax.

However, many people still believe they are a paranormal occurrence caused by aliens or other mysterious forces.

These include Pierre Beake, who travels from his native France to investigate each summer.

He said: "We were at a crop circle near Avebury and there was what we thought was a person standing away in the field."

Camera fails in crop circle, again...... I'd switch from crop circles to camera malfunctions at pivotal moments. More common than crop circles because it encompasses all that is determined paranormal. A riddle for sure that for some reason doesn't keep investigators awake at night, it's just an accepted fact. It should be the focus of paranormalists, before they tackle anything else.
Here's what it looks like thru a failed camera. Nothing like the photo of the figure.

"He said the figure was recorded on video camera for the whole time, but the camera then panned to another part of the field, and when it returned the figure was gone."

Yet all they show is two stills and a seemingly unrelated video of birds in a field. Where's this supposed video, and why not post it to corroborate the claims in the above statement?

Call em and ask em.

People desperate to prove something tend to offer all the evidence they have...unless they know they're just playing to the dupes...who require very little to keep stringing them along.
Or it could be that they can't anticipate whatever weird arbitrary complaint a skeptic will make in lieu of actually having some real problem to present. Why is the video not on the page? Who knows? Who cares? Why is that an issue at all? They have the magnified image right there.

I saw a blurry image of something cylindrical and possibly metallic & I saw what Syne saw on the vid.

Wow. An appearing and disappearing cylindrical and metallic object in an open field near a crop circle? That's even more amazing than a figure.
Like I said, it's easy to appease dupes. If they're accustom to that lack of skepticism, I can see why they'd offer just enough to fool morons while hoping it's not enough for anyone to make a rational case against it. That's not how people who honestly feel they have evidence of a phenomenon they have a vested interest in behave. That's like scientists making a great discovery but withholding enough data for anyone else to corroborate it. Reasonable people have to question how that could possibly benefit them. Simple answer...they're conning you.
