Just saw the movie Life. It was Aliens in a tin can but with a twist ending. One of those movies that makes you wonder who dies next. Worst moment came early when the micro-biologist on board can't resist playing with fire. No doubt a highly educated well trained man short on brains. Also too many human subplots involving babies, a love of isolation and hate for people, physical handicaps and equality to name a few. All I can say after Arrival's intelligent squids is "Welcome Octopuses". Hollywood's imagination store must have gone bankrupt.
"Life: The Movie".

I can't imagine even squeezing it into a miniseries.

Even then, you'd get fourteen different miniseries - and that's only the ones which rated because people knew the director, plus one no-name who happened to attract a star billing.

I mentioned on another forum that I could sum the movie up in 5 words: Flying Spaghetti Monster on steroids.
