It will just prove my point that reputation systems are not good moderation tools and open to abuse. Or you could report abusive ratings to the admin...or just not take them so personally.
Well as we should know, humans dominate the world because of their ability to work together. However, they don't always work together well. All members of the forum get to choose the reality manifested here.
Does anyone disagree that Syne is disrespectful, abusive and a bully? My 9-year grandson told me what cyber bullying is and I don't like what is possible if we do not stand against it.
Most humans like to believe good always wins out over evil. Why? Because if it does not, sooner or later all is destroyed. In a forum such as this one, the good can be destroyed, one person at a time, and that might not seem to matter, but sooner or later it will. I will let you decide if you want to accept disrespect, abuse, and bullying or not. If you can not pull together and stop it, I will be gone.
I may regret my stand, as I choose to stand against cyber bully and the meanness that is contaminating the world, because people think it doesn't matter and have this meanness and destructive behavior confused with freedom of speech. We can allow all to be destroyed or we can stand for what we believe ought to be. And as Syne pointed out this has to be a we, because he surely win if I stand alone. Hello folks, you all can't do better without religion and fear of a god? Pay attention to cause and effect and take a stand, and take action. I am giving Syne negative points for cyber bulling, for all the children who need a better world.
I do not stand completely alone, even though I do not the support of a church. I stand with Socrates and Patrick Henry who both stood for justice and liberty, and my grandmother who defended democracy in the classroom as a teacher. I may lose the right to post here, but I believe virtue is on my side, and life is meaningless if I do not stand for what I believe is right.
So what do you say? What is the most important, your fun or justice and liberty? This a question our whole nation needs to ask. Personally, I do not understand why people we think cyber bullying is fun for the people you want to attract?

Syne is a toxic troll who is undermining the free and respectful atmosphere of this forum. He regularly has demoted my reputation simply for not responding anymore to him. He also casts aspersions and insinuations about me based on my sexual orientation. He basically drove away Leigha with a horrible personal attack about her avatar choice. If there was ever a reason for a group dying away, he will be it. For every bad point he gives out, I will reverse it with a good point.
Were you alone in this? Something is very wrong if you can not stand together against one lone troll.
Secular Sanity, I read the post you linked to. Do you think you were being respectful and considerate? What do you think your merits were in that post?
Wow, I am getting why Jesus said he didn't come to bring peace, and what he has in common with Socrates who perhaps was one of the most hated men in the world. I don't want to make enemies with anyone. Especially not when my ability to post here is threatened. But if we are blind to harming others and our own part of creating a hurtful world, then the pain is spread and passed on for generations. At a time when overpopulation is turning into wars around the world, and we are playing this destructive game with the potential for nuclear war, perhaps it is a good idea to follow these 3 simple rules.
1. We respect everyone.
2. We protect the dignity of others.
3. We do everything with integrity.
