That looks like damn good movie. I'll check it out.
I just downloaded it watched it. That was the best damn math movie I've ever seen. If you love math...watch this movie. If you iffy about math but love science, watch this movie. Well acted, well scripted. It's a bio-pic about Srinivasa Ramanujan. An Indian mathematician with no formal education who apparently was like Newton-level genius...who unfortunately died before his time. Dude, if you love math, this movie is for you.

And even if your not a math-head...it's still a good movie...and you should check it out.
Thank you for the referral.
You're welcome.  I thought it was great, too.  If you don’t mind subtitles, this movie was awesome.

And Magical recommended this one.  It was a real tearjerker.  I loved it!  I was able to rent both of them on Amazon.

Oh, Mac, I forgot to tell you.  Speaking of mathematicians, rpenner is pretty good.  I invited him, but so far, no response.  He never talks to me.  In fact, a few years back, in this post, he pointed out that the correct answer to a problem was 1728, and that his post count happened to be 1728.  I asked him if 1729 would be as dull and linked this picture of a taxi cab.  If you watched the movie, you’ll understand.  Either he didn’t get it, thought it was stupid, or just doesn’t like me.  Most likely the latter.   Sad
I found this old movie quite interesting and it talks about many things that are very provocative. Even though it is old it still has a ring of truth about what is discussed even for todays movie goers.

I have loved that film ever since I first saw it in the 90's. It inspired me to believe in the lost art of good conversation---that a whole movie could be made based purely on two people talking in a restaurant.
