DOOM AND GLOOM BRIDGADE: Ironically, why would Democrats want to replace GOP destroyer Trump with a non-juvenile POTUS like Vance? You want to ensure eradication of Republicans in the 2028 election, so keep Trump in. At the very least, indeed go this middle ground of extended investigations, and don't kick Trump out until his final few months so that Vance has virtually no time in office to demonstrate any competence. Of course, much depends on Republicans themselves realizing that Trump is the lead weight drowning them so that they don't obstruct his removal. That probably won't happen. Kamikaze all the way.

Dem onlookers in 2029: "By gosh, the GOP is virtually extinct in DC now, but those bastards remained loyal to the very end in a blaze of glory! Really tugs at one's heart."

Optimism division: The Iran War ends January next year with ironclad nullification of nuclear weapon capacity, and the tariff policies prematurely yield economic paradise and an explosion of return home manufacturing in the US by very early 2028. (Right. That's going to happen...)

Will Democrats impeach Trump after winning midterms? Here’s why appetite may be limited
https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/arti...00948.html

EXCERPT: Democrats had won 52 Senate seats in Tuesday's midterm elections as of 12:30 a.m. EST and were on track to also handily win control of the House, giving them the power to subpoena people for testimony and information—though few have indicated impeaching Trump is a priority.

Democrats are preparing to launch numerous investigations related to Trump—previewing probes on his stock trades, his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Elon Musk and more—if they win one or both chambers, but Democratic leaders have been noncommittal on impeaching him, while impeachment attempts so far during Trump's second term have gone nowhere.

Democrats also risk empowering Trump and his base ahead of the 2028 presidential election if they move forward with an impeachment investigation, and such an effort could draw resources from the lengthy investigations they plan to conduct against Trump if they regain control.
