Well...we got it straight from the horse's mouth finally! And it destroys the whole notion of normal people's appalled reactions to what Trump says as just TDS.

"Blind loyalty means giving total, unquestioning support to a person, group, or cause, no matter what they do or the harm they cause.

Key Characteristics

• No Critical Thinking: You stop asking questions or checking the facts.
• Ignoring Red Flags: You excuse bad behavior, lies, or abuse because of who is doing it.
• No Accountability: Wrongdoing is hidden or defended rather than corrected.
• Loss of Identity: You put the leader or group's needs ahead of your own safety, values, and well-being.

Blind Loyalty vs. Healthy Loyalty

• Healthy Loyalty: Built on mutual trust, shared values, and respect. It allows you to speak up, set boundaries, and offer constructive criticism when something is wrong.
• Blind Loyalty: Built on fear, people-pleasing, or submission. It punishes disagreement and demands complete obedience.

Common Examples

• Relationships: Staying with a partner who mistreats you because you feel you must stick by them no matter what.
• Workplace: Covering up unethical or illegal actions to protect a boss or company.
• Politics: Supporting a political party or candidate unconditionally, even when they break promises or cause harm (as discussed by users on Reddit)."
Trump's pretty funny sometimes. He gets a laugh and then says, "but we don't say the stupidest things, we say things of common sense."

US President Donald Trump is praising his own leadership while urging Republicans to rally behind him ahead of the November midterm elections. In a series of remarks, Trump told supporters that they would applaud even if he said “the stupidest things,” before insisting that his message was based on common sense. He also promised voters $5,000 in their pockets if Republicans win the midterms, describing it as an economic success unlike anything the country had seen before. Trump acknowledged the political stakes, saying Republicans would blame him if the party lost, while he expected to receive little credit if it won. He then urged supporters to turn out and vote, stressing how hard he was working. His remarks offer a glimpse into Trump’s campaign pitch, his confidence in his own leadership and his efforts to make the midterm elections a referendum on his presidency.

The usual TDS bait, and the suckers fall for it every time. Mostly because they have no sense of humor.
I think it's like at a hypnotist show .. people put their hands together and maybe half can't pull them apart. After the show only those that could bring their hands apart 'the observers' will be aware that anything weird happened.
LOL! Jokes are hypnotism now! See, you can have a sense of humor too. Big Grin
I'm very definitely MAGA, in the sense that I want to "make America great again". In other words, I want it to snap out of the kind of managed decline that has gone a long way to rendering Europe (and the UK) increasingly irrelevant on the world stage and seem to be destroying the historical home of Western civilization.

But despite what MR wants us to believe, my adherence to MAGA has nothing at all to do with blind loyalty to Trump. I supported Trump in 2016, 2020 and in 2024 simply because he seemed to me to be the better alternative to Hillary, Biden and Kamala. Hillary was the very personification of the kind of elitist globalism that I referred to above. Biden was little more than an incompetent figurehead, allowing the same people to pull strings from behind the curtain. And Kamala was merely a DEI hire.

I do tend to trust Trump and I do give him the benefit of the doubt, generally speaking. I think that he's earned my trust by staying true to the kind of policies that I support through all sorts of challenge and adversity. I like his record of appointments during his second term, much better than his first term. Trump's endorsements do influence me since I trust his judgements about who supports the agenda items of concern to me.

But it has little to do with the man, who I have mixed feelings about.

That said, he won't be on the ballot in 2028. In that election I will still be voting MAGA despite there being no Trump, so it can't all be Trump's hypnotic personality or whatever it's supposed to be.

In 2028 I won't vote for an open-border candidate who wants to eliminate immigration law and enforcement. (We saw that with Biden.) That's my biggest issue I guess. I won't vote for a candidate who supports "multiculturalism" as opposed to assimilation and the "melting pot". I won't vote for a candidate who supports free-trade, if that means deindustrializing America and offshoring all its manufacturing to China. I won't vote for a candidate who wants to defund the police, close prisons and supports criminals over the law-abiding. I won't vote for a candidate who supports irreversibly mutilating young children to suit some crazy gender ideology. (Perhaps the greatest child-abuse scandal in US history.) I won't vote for a candidate that tries to divide the population along race/gender lines so as to pursue the politics of grievance.

In other words, I can't really imagine voting for a democrat since I can't imagine any democrat abandoning most of those policies. So I'll go with pretty much whoever the Republicans put up: JD Vance (currently my favorite), Ron Desantis, Marco Rubio, even Ted  Cruz if it came to him. (I can't imagine any RINO getting the 2028 nomination.)

Nobody can fit into that Third Way skinsuit anymore. Biden and Harris tried, but it was disastrous. Not that there is absolutely no one affiliated with the Party that could mimic a centrist. But whoever that individual was probably couldn't get enough financial and promotional support in this era from headquarters (in contrast to the days of Bill and Barack's tenures).
Ah, Bill and first-term Barack. Those were the days.
