Think death less as some spirit or soul journeying elsewhere thru some psychedelic space and more as an ontological jump. Like when you've just watched a very involving movie in a theater and it ends and they turn the lights on. In a matter of seconds we are thrown from one world to another. It's like how we sometimes wake up from a really vivid dream and we suddenly don't know where we are for a few seconds. That's what I think death is like. Think when Dorothy opened the door of her storm-tossed house. We instantly leap from one state of consciousness to another. And bam..you're just there. One reality is over and another begins. What do you think it will be like?
My expectation is .. going to sleep and not waking up.
What worries me is what leads up to the 'not waking up' .. being burnt, broken or having some horribly painful and/or embarrassing affliction. I'm a fan of the voluntary exit plan.
