Match the feline species to the continent(s) it is indigenous to:

lion, tiger, jaguar, cougar, bobcat, polecat
OCD (or something) here.. polecats aren't a feline species .. does that matter? Kind of links in to the more general question of what (if anything) matters. I find myself suddenly overwhelmed by the futility of ABSOLUTLY EVERYTHING. Waiter, there's a polecat in my soup. I'm sorry sir, that isn't your soup that's a polecat. I was expecting soup. I'll take the polecat away.
LOL Yeah..I threw in polecat at the last second to screw with people. I remember when it referred to a skunk, but google says it also refers to a kind of weasel.
Without even needing AI or google..
lion - Africa
tiger - not Africa! - Asia + Siberia (which might be in Asia)
jaguar - probably Africa
cougar - California
bobcat - N.America
polecat - not cats but probably Europe
Everything looks correct! You win! I learned from Jeopardy though that there IS a species of lion in India called the Asiatic Lion:

Oh, and the Jaguar lives in Central and South America:

10 point animal bonus question:

If snakes sang like birds, do you think we wouldn't be so scared of them? Or would we instead be afraid of their seductive siren songs?
