Hmm..makes a lot of sense to me. I might add that people who are easily disgusted often confuse what disgusts them with what is morally wrong. Which is horse hockey. There are certainly many people you would never want to imagine having sex, but it doesn't mean it is morally wrong for them to have sex. In short, what disgusts you is all about you, not about the person who disgusts you.

“Give me the Child until he is 7 and I will show you the man”, so said Aristotle 300 BC.
This guy is ignorant of psychology. Leftists don't "override" their disgust with more emotional intelligence. They simply do not value the moral foundation of purity/disgust at all, as they prioritize care/harm and fairness/injustice over the three others. Conservatives value all moral foundations equally. And this is based on large, cross-cultural studies.
As their unconditional adoration of Trump shows, rightwingers have no grasp on the crucial differences between morality and moralism, and between purity and puritanism. They are brainwashed sheep reciting the meaningless mottos of a bygone populist era.
Conservative are not the ones who have promoted sterilizing and mutilating children for life.
The absence of one vice in a person does not entail the absence of any other vices. It's why so many conservative preachers and "holy" men end up being pedophiles. All that repressed darkness strikes out eventually in an all-the-more twisted and monstrous form.
What, you mean the prevalence of perversion is about the same as the population as a whole, regardless of profession?
It's not like there a huge vetting process for clergy... even though there probably should be for Catholic asexuals/celibates.

Who said that? Like I said, the more evil you repress the more twisted and inevitable becomes the outlet. It's human psychology 101. And conservatives are all about repressing themselves..
Synchronistically this news story came on TV while I typed this:

So, anecdotal, without any actual stats comparing the population as a whole. Got it.
