Well his show is being listed as coming on at 11:00 pm tonight. We'll see if Sinclair has the power to remove him from our local station. In any case, like I said I don't even watch him, so it's really more about allowing him to continue without his free speech being hindered. As long as that continues I'll be happy.
Nexstar's president reiterated that they won't be airing Kimmel anytime soon.

His free speech was never hindered, as no one was stopping him from posting on Twitter, Bluesky, YouTube, etc..

No..that's like arguing that because someone has other platforms for speaking freely, that censoring what they said in one platform isn't really hindering free speech. Of course it is. Practically speaking it may not actual hinder that person from speaking freely, but in principle it is still a violation of their 1st Amendment rights.
Democrats have spend years proving that "platforms" have the right to censor anyone they want, for any reason. Biden even pressured Google, Facebook, etc. to censor conservatives... according to those company's own congressional testimony.
The 1st Amendment only protects people from governmental censorship... which never actually happen to Kimmel, as evidence ABC voluntarily removing and reinstating his show.

The FCC threatened to pull ABC's license if it didn't take Kimmel off the air, which it then did. That's govt enforced censorship of free speech.
Again:

I didn't hear anyone cry free speech over that government enforced censorship.
The 1st Amendment doesn't guarantee you a large public platform to speak.
"The Constitution only protects individuals from government action, not actions by private companies. That means if you work for a private business in Connecticut, your employer isn’t legally bound by the First Amendment in the same way a government agency is."-- https://brewerlawct.com/blog/first-amend...h-at-work/

Sounds like an attempt to censor, which skirts dangerously close to actually censoring. In which case it would be just as wrong as what the FCC did with ABC. In this case though we are dealing with the censorship of misinformation which could be justifiable on the grounds that it is harmful to the public. Much how Trump's suggestion of ingesting bleach to prevent COVID resulted in an uptick of poisoning emergencies across the country. Just what are the limits on free speech when it encourages harm or self-harm with false information (ie. covid information)..
What Kimmel said was obviously misinformation, which the FCC cited as "not in the public interest."
It's clear you have a double standard, that is much more strict for Republicans than it is for Democrats.
Which means you have zero credibility on this issue.
