Historical analysis shows a strong correlation between the implementation of revolutionary socialist and communist ideologies and widespread state-sponsored violence.

NY governor Kathy Hochul has endorsed democrat socialist Zohran Mamdani for NYC mayor, demonstrating a broader acceptance of socialism among Democrats, voters and politicians.
At the same time, Democrat endorsement of political violence has reached an all time high, making a hero of one assassin (Luigi Mangione) and celebrating another.

Seems to follow the historical pattern that socialism is very often correlated to violence. It's as if the acceptance for political violence is a prerequisite to socialism... refuting the canard that "real socialism has never been tried."

Revolution and violent overthrow was the original Marxist spirit. It was the revisionists who -- after the larger mob finally accepted what was transpiring in the USSR and Red China -- rose in rank enough to tone things down to competing in the voting process instead. The biggest problem facing any modern far-left revolutionaries of North America, though, is their fear and loathing of guns. They would have to seduce/convert and recruit youthful proxies on the other side to do the dirty work, which would never suffice for a large-scale conquest.

The regime in Venezuela is arguably a combination of both, though. Once elected to power, control the military and take steps to ensure that you always win, and that rival parties are stamped down.
