Ivermectin is used to treat human diseases caused by roundworms and a wide variety of external parasites. [...] Approved for human use in 1987, it is used to treat infestations including head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis and lymphatic filariasis. It works through many mechanisms to kill the targeted parasites, and can be taken by mouth, or applied to the skin for external infestations.
[...] Misinformation has been widely spread claiming that ivermectin is beneficial for treating and preventing COVID-19. Such claims are not backed by credible scientific evidence. Multiple major health organizations, including the US Food and Drug Administration, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the European Medicines Agency, and the World Health Organization have advised that ivermectin is not recommended for the treatment of COVID-19.
Of course, the establishment also holds that vitamin C is useless in preventing or treating colds and any other contagious infection. And yet that is what I've been using for years to eliminate coughs, and prevent myself from catching what other people around me are sick from. When I received the unnecessary (for me) COVID vaccine in 2021, I got intensely ill from the side effects. That's how strong my immune system was. In contrast, others I know who have compromised immune systems (due to various medical conditions) didn't experience any negative symptoms from the vaccine at all.
But I'm not the statistical "average person" that research targets in its studies of supplements, vitamins, and drugs. The average American is afflicted with all kinds of medical problems because of their diet and lack of physical exertion, and the side effects they accumulate from taking various prescribed drugs that interact with each other. So the average person should not do what I do, but what their doctors recommend.
I eat healthy foods (a lot of non-refined vegetables and fruits), largely drink only water, exercise every day, take two large multivitamin softgels a day, a few supplements, (always with meals). And on very rare occasions where taking an extra-doses of vitamin C isn't enough to ward off whatever _X_, I take 500MG quercetin capsules to eradicate inflammation.
I've been bitten by poisonous copperhead snakes twice, and both times restored my swollen black foot back to normal within a day and a half by indulging in the very treatment that experts apparently warn one not to do.
Again, I do not qualify as the "average person" who does everything possible to destroy their health and immune system. So do not mimic or rely on what I take or do. Once dependence on doctors is heavily established, the patient must remain heavily dependent upon their advice (and medications, and surgery, yata-yata).
Also understand that I will surely die before most "average people" do. Due to something that does not get diagnosed. The only time I see a medical facility is when taking someone else there or to accompany them as a guide. (Not to get into how lost hubby would be without me keeping track of what his medications do and when they need to be refilled, etc. He bought into the system way back in childhood or adolescence, but he'll still probably live longer than me.)
