EXCERPTS: Penn State scientists using balloon-mounted cosmic particle detectors to analyze radio waves from cosmic rays on the remote continent of Antarctica report the anomalous detection of strange radio pulses that seem to originate from below the ice.

A statement announcing the anomalous detections says these “bizarre signals” defy the current understanding of particle physics and may hint at previously undiscovered particles or particle interactions.

“It’s an interesting problem because we still don’t actually have an explanation for what those anomalies are,” said research team member Stephanie Wissel, an associate professor of physics, astronomy, and astrophysics and the study’s lead author.

[...] Because the strange radio pulses coming from beneath the ice don’t align with the standard model of particle physics, the team says several other explanations are possible. One concept says the team detects evidence of dark matter, while another says it may be an entirely new type of particle or particle interaction... (MORE - missing details)

"These radio signals were coming from the the ice at an impossibly steep angle, something that a neutrino-produced signal could never do.

Even stranger, rather than bouncing off the ice, the pulses appear to be coming from below the horizon.

That would mean the radio waves would have had to travel through thousands of miles of rock and ice before reaching ANITA's balloons, which should have rendered them undetectable."--- https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/...vered.html

They detected a radio signal from inside one of the caves of Mt. Shasta last week on "Beyond Skinwalker Ranch". Travis said there's no way radio signals can penetrate that much rock. Another mystery..
