I have never really studied Husserl in depth simply because I could never understand him. He had a proneness for using new sciency terminology that intimidated me and left me dazed in a sort of fugue state of dry neologisms. Here's a brief 12 minute exploration of Husserl and his philosophy of phenomenology. I have always agreed with his motto--"Back to the things themselves." I believe, iow, that reality can be best known and understood by catching consciousness "in the act" so to speak--in the introspective intuition of our immediate experience of it as it builds our world.
