Poll finds six times as many unionists as nationalists think immigration level is too high

INTRO: More than six times as many unionists as nationalists say the current level of immigration is too high. Just 13% of nationalists and 10% of Alliance supporters believe too many migrants are coming here.

VIDEO EXCERPT - Ben Habib: These riots involve some criminals obviously -- people who tear up hotels, set fire to vehicles and all that -- they're criminals. But there's no way that Starmer can say they are [all] far-right. He hasn't done a census of the political disposition of all those people

The rioters are the white working class, from deprived areas of this country, who, if I were to hazard a guess, would typically vote Labour. But it's the Labour Party that's turned its back on the very people that it should be promoting and protecting. The Labour Party has lost its compass completely.

Question: But some of those people will still vote Labour, won't they? Do you think they will hang on? How do you feel about the way the mainstream media is trying to paint them into as extreme right-wing corner?

What wasn't conveyed too well is that some of the areas that were hit by rioting were/are impoverish and a hot bed of criminal activity (Countylines gangs), a powder keg waiting to happen. It just requires a spark for the problems to be vented in whatever way they came out.

The "far-right" statement is likely in response to some areas that were specifically targetted by a roving band of yobs that came from elsewhere (they travelled to be apart of the problem.), that targetted specific targets (like hotels sheltering immigrants) which they would of only learnt of through sharing information through social media networks.
As far as I know .. (Northern) Irish politics remains dominated by the invasion of Ireland by the English in 1169 which the Irish have neither forgiven nor forgotten.

Not helped by .. the Irish potato famine (1845..)

"Far from being a natural disaster, many Irish were [and remain] convinced that the famine was a direct outgrowth of British colonial policies. In support of this contention, they noted that during the famine's worst years, many Anglo-Irish estates continued to export grain and livestock to England."

Back to England..

The actual number of rioters was very small .. most simply yobs seizing the chance to run wild .. of the rest .. how they vote will have no influence on election results. Most likely they would vote for the current 'National Front' party descended from the white supremacists who hoped Germany would win the war back in 1939.

We don't fear 'Reds under the bed' in the same way that the US seems to .. we aren't looking for reds (under the bed) because we don't expect to find any.

To treat the far left and far right 'fairly' we'd first have to find some badly behaved far leftists .. and we don't.
Still no other source -- paywall or not -- even mentioning the poll. Changed prefix from "Article" To "Check!?"

These various X accounts just keep referencing Belfast Telegraph (because that's what they're connected with):

Okay. Here's a Reddit post of apparently the complete article:

Unfortunately, sans any link to the exact LucidTalk poll. Maybe someone can locate it in the labyrinth of the LucidTalk site itself ("I ain't got the time"):
