Not really. Being gay, just like being heterosexual, assumes the same right to pursuit of happiness that they have. Just like being anything else. A gymnast or an artist or a racecar driver. Imagine identifying as one of these but never participating in the activities defining them. Being gay likewise assumes the ability to live it out--to have gay relationships, to have gay sex, to frequent gay establishments if you want to, to get married to/live with a gay soulmate and to have a family if you want to.

The Catholic Church otoh only lets you "be" gay and in the closet about it. To have the inclinations, but to repress them and live your life instead as a self-hating and chaste servant of Christ. It is homophobia and heteronormalcy in the fake guise of moral acceptance and tolerance. It is a poisonous and toxic lifestyle that results in social isolation, shame, depression, and possibly even suicide.

But hey, that's the Catholic way ain't it? Sad

If what you say is true then Catholic church asking for more from gay parishioners than they’re asking of their child molesting priests.
Yes they are. Priests and cardinals molesting boys is a hushed up tradition going back centuries I just learned. How anyone can support a religious institution that has covered up such atrocities over the years is a mystery to me.

"Sexual abuse in the Catholic Church has been reported as far back as the 11th century, when Peter Damian wrote the treatise Liber Gomorrhianus against such abuses and others. In the late 15th century, Katharina von Zimmern and her sister were removed from their abbey to live in their family's house for a while partly because the young girls were molested by priests.[31] In 1531, Martin Luther claimed that Pope Leo X had vetoed a measure that cardinals should restrict the number of boys they kept for their pleasure, "otherwise it would have been spread throughout the world how openly and shamelessly the Pope and the cardinals in Rome practice sodomy."----
