I love seeing how El Salvador, a small country known for its problems, has leaped into the cutting edge of technological innovation. Any country can do it, if their leaders have the necessary imagination.

And I expect that kids will love it. As they use it, it will be get to know each kid and will probably come to seem like a friend. Always supportive, full of helpful explanations and positive suggestions, but never hurtful or putting the kid down. (So unlike human school.) I wonder if kids will tell it things that they wouldn't tell another human being and start to confide in it like an interactive diary or a secret friend. (Hopefully they don't become too emotionally dependent on it.)

This had to be Elon. He had them paint MACROHARD on the roof of their Colossus supercomputer at xAI outside Memphis. (An obvious poke at a certain software company in Seattle.)

And talk is that xAI is building an even larger complex across the nearby state line in northern Mississippi. Presumably to house even more supercomputer. That one will have its own gas turbine generators and cooling towers, since the computer is expected to use electricity equivalent to that consumed by 1.6 million people!

xAI just raised another $20 billion, from an assortment of investors.

While they don't provide the current company valuation, Grok the AI estimates it at about $230 billion.

That's impressive growth from an estimate $1 billion as late as December 2023.

Here's Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves announcing what is said to be the largest corporate investment in Mississippi history. It's in Southaven MS, directly south of Memphis TN across the state line.
