NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Gray News) – "Country superstar Garth Brooks said he plans to sell “every brand of beer” at his new Nashville bar, seemingly referring to the recent backlash surrounding Bud Light after the brand partnered with a transgender influencer.

In an interview with Billboard, Brooks said his new bar and entertainment space Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk is set to open soon in Nashville’s South Broadway District.

Brooks said he wants the space to be a safe space for all people.

“I want it to be a place you feel safe in, I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another,” he told Billboard.


Brooks continued, saying the bar is going to sell all brands of beer.

“And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make,” he said. “Our thing is this, if you (are let) into this house, love one another. If you’re an a–hole, there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway.”

Brooks’ announcement comes after country stars John Rich of Big & Rich and Kid Rock announced they would no longer be selling Bud Light at their establishments.

Of course you love people who nakedly pander to you. Children are easily swayed.

On this side of the pond the people with more education tend to be more tolerant and have more money to spend so excluding undesirables may be a smart business move as well as a political statement.

Religion: Brooks is a non-denominational Christian.

Political Views: Brooks is a Republican, but doesn't take it too seriously. He's even expressed support for Barack Obama.

EXCERPT: In new comments made Monday on his Facebook livestream, Brooks doubled down on his stance, saying, "Diversity. Inclusive. That's me. That's always been me."

"Everybody's got their opinions. But inclusiveness is always going to be me," Brooks said. "I think diversity is the answer to the problems that are here and the answer to the problems that are coming. So, I love diversity. All inclusive, so all are welcome. I understand that might not be other people's opinions, but that's OK, man. They have their opinions. They have their beliefs. I have mine."

Brooks also said it will ultimately be up to the bars' customers to decide what type of beer is sold, saying it's his responsibility as the owner to stock Friends in Low Places with the most popular beers and let the patrons decide.

"The truth is, it's those people in those seats that make those decisions. And that's what Friends in Low Places is going to be," Brooks said. "So here's the deal: If you want to come to Friends in Low Places, come in, but come in with love. Come in with tolerance, patience. Come in with an open mind, and it's cool."

He continued, "If you're one of those people that just can't do that, I get it. If you ever are one of those people that want to try it, come. Let's go have some fun."

Tolerance to mutilating and sterilizing children isn't something to brag about. No one care what adults decide to do to themselves, but once you go exposing or doing it to children, you're evil. Children can't give consent and can't defend themselves.

It's not pandering to acknowledge the freedom of all persons to exist and be who they are. It's common decency and respect. Transphobes are sorely lacking in that dept.

Maybe you didn't read what I wrote above: "No one care what adults decide to do to themselves, but once you go exposing or doing it to children, you're evil."
But then, gays are known for grooming much much younger boys.

Maybe it's just a form of rural "fellowship speak" that utilizes insults in an inverted, friendly manner. Akin to how the N-word derivative contingently substitutes for "homie" in inner-city neighborhoods.
