You can test your taste for truffles by first starting with truffle butter or salt, before you waste money on something you might dislike.
Amazon sells white truffle oil for 22 bucks. I could try it on pasta. Maybe... But if it tastes like foot odor I'm not eating it. Smile

Yea, I have a feeling they’re a little too overrated and just a highly aromatic fungus. I’ve seen truffles on the menu of one of my fave Italian restaurants and meh, just don’t have an interest. I like how they look shaved over pasta.

Might be like drinking champagne out of a ladies shoe. Never tried it but I'm not totally averse to the idea.
