I can probably be called a "Trumper", if that means  a Trump supporter. Actually I'm less a Trump supporter than I am a supporter of Trump's "populist" agenda. Trump himself is a very flawed vehicle for some very good ideas in my opinion. But that being said, I'll support him if he is the Republican nominee in 2024, against almost any Democrat that has any chance of getting their nomination. (I kind of like Tulsi Gabbard and Joe Manchin is definitely growing on me.) There's a good chance that I won't support Trump in the Republican primaries though, assuming that there's somebody with a similar agenda that promises to be more effective. (I'm leaning toward Ron DeSantis right now I guess.)

Given my politics I associate with other "Trumpers". 

And here's the thing, I've never heard any of them bring up Qanon (whatever that is) even once. The only time I ever hear Qanon mentioned is by lefties and in leftish publications. The idea of Qanon is definitely a thing on the left. From my perspective Qanon is either a myth or something exceedingly fringe that being exaggerated all out of proportion by the left to caricaturize people they oppose. There's about as much truth to it as there was to the Democrat conspiracy theory that Donald Trump was a Russian agent.

If they can't win on ideas, I guess that they feel that they have to resort to that kind of thing.

Yeah, I didn't vote for Trump the first time (since he'd been a Democrat two seconds earlier), but did the second time and would again. I wouldn't vote for a Democrat, no matter how relatively centrist and sane Gabbard and Manchin are. Just too many other policy differences. But like Yaz, I would be more likely to support a DeSantis in the primary. All the positives of Trump without any of the negatives. If Cruz were to get more populist/ballsy, I'd even vote for him.

Also like Yaz, I've never met another Republican in real life that believed in QAnon, and few seem to know what it entails. It does seem to be a boogeyman of the left.


Actually, what's probably going on here is that most QAnon believers are former Democrats who switched parties for Trump. They're use to the leftist cult, transferred that onto Trump, and readily bought into QAnon.
