Quote:most Biblical stories, like the one cited, don't actually contradict reality.

Sure..because everyone knows there are talking snakes in magical fruit trees, there are arks made of wood that can fit every land animal species on earth, and the Red Sea parted to allow safe passage of the Israelites. lol If that's your "reality", you should seriously consider seeing a psychiatrist.

What part of "like the one cited" did you not comprehend? All of it?
Arguing straw men about the entire Bible being 100% literal and true only works against those that actually believe so. Here, you're pissing into the wind.

Well, I was referring to the overall belief, but now that I think about it, maybe Abraham had temporal lobe epilepsy.

Hmm...I'm having a vision right now or maybe it's a premonition. The next post will be from a wanna be Jordan Peterson with misogynistic tendencies. I'm sensing the letter "S".

The overall belief don't contradict reality.
But then, maybe you have trouble distinguishing your own beliefs from reality.

Again, if you're going to "walk away" from theism, why keep coming back to theists to whine about it? The incel/MGTOW version of atheist?
