‘This isn’t new - sadly this has been happening for years’: Aaron Bastani on Wales school stabbing
https://www.gbnews.com/news/aaron-bastan...l-stabbing

INTRO: Writer Aaron Bastani has said that the Wales stabbing "isn't new" after three people were taken to hospital after an incident at a school.

Speaking to GB News he said: "I was growing up only, what, 30 years ago, and this sort of thing was happening.

"The idea that somehow children have become reprobates overnight is wrong. I remember the late 90s, the early 2000, and there were stories of teachers, quite unfortunately and unforgivably being assaulted by children."

This comes as three people were taken to hospital after an incident at Amman Valley school and a teenager has been held on suspicion of attempted murder. (MORE - the video interview)

Horses run amok in central London, four injured
https://www.thenewdaily.com.au/news/2024...mok-london

INTRO: Five military horses threw off their riders and bolted through the streets of central London, causing rush hour chaos as they collided with vehicles and a double-decker bus. The horses were part of the Household Cavalry and were involved in a rehearsal with their military handlers when they became spooked.

Four people were injured — three soldiers and a city cyclist — when the animals took off in fright after “building materials were dropped from height right next to them”.

“The ensuing shock caused all horses to bolt and unseated some riders,” Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment commanding officer Lt Col Matt Woodward said.

Television images showed one saddled white horse covered in blood running through the street alongside another, black one. The black horse slammed into a London Taxi. One witness said cars had their windows, front and rear smashed, including a BMW.

All five equines were eventually recaptured. Two of them were located eight kilometres away in east London. They were all receiving veterinary care... (MORE - missing details)

(update) Injured teachers ‘cannot comprehend’ Welsh school stabbing incident
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/ho...35545.html

EXCERPT: The teenage girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was remanded to youth detention accommodation when she appeared in court on Friday.

She will next appear at Swansea Crown Court on May 24.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old boy who was arrested later on Wednesday after police received reports about messages on social media referring to the stabbings has been released on bail.

Police executed a warrant at the boy’s home, in the nearby Cross Hands area, and recovered a BB gun.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the boy has been released with conditions preventing him from entering certain educational establishments, or the Amman and Gwendraeth Valley areas.

Bail restrictions also include a curfew, and prevent him from having unsupervised access to social media.

“The investigation into the allegations continues, and Dyfed-Powys Police is now appealing for anyone with information that could assist them, including screenshots from social media,” a police spokesman added.

EXCERPT: Two military horses seriously injured after running loose through London on Wednesday “continue to be cared for and closely observed” following surgery, the British Army has said.

The animals were operated on overnight on Wednesday and Defence Minister James Cartlidge said on Thursday morning they were in a “serious condition”.

An Army spokesperson said later that it was “too early to know” whether either will be able to return to official duties.

Four of the horses that broke loose have been named as Vida, Trojan, Quaker and Tennyson.

Both Vida and Quaker were operated on overnight, with the latter being moved to an equine hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning for further specialist treatment, the Army said.

Vida was the grey horse seen in videos and images from Wednesday covered in blood galloping through central London, alongside black horse Trojan, and has since returned to its stables at the Hyde Park Barracks.

A group of seven horses and six soldiers from the Household Cavalry were on an extended exercise in Belgravia on Wednesday when the horses were spooked by builders moving rubble.
