Climate change to geologists

Yes, context is important for understanding.
When people talk of climate change in the context of anthropic* climate change they are rashly assuming the context will be sufficient to distinguish between climate change due to (for example) continental drift and climate change due to stratospheric cooling which may or may not be 'anthropic'.

*Anthropic = concerned primarily with humans or google 'anthropic'.

Doesn't matter if it's anthropic or not, as the climate has obviously been through much more extreme changes, and life has not only survived but thrived.
