Just finished this. Pretty darn good. Unbelievable that this could actually happen, but it did.

Sounded like the only person (back in the 2nd episode) who didn't fall under his spell from the very start was the mother of Yulia Tuulik. But even that might have been the result of her retrospectively feeling that she had been cynical of him from the get-go, after her daughter was already "rotting away from the inside".
On a yet darker note, declining standards may well be the future of medical research and practice, if going by all the increasing fraud cases that Retraction Watch monitors.
